UKRAINE - Ukraine - EU Pact: Kiev's gambit with Brussels
Last Friday, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko signed a landmark trade deal with the European Union. He called it the most important day in the country's history since independence. It's the same document that Viktor Yanukovich failed to sign back in November, sparking deadly protests that lead to his ouster. But with Crimea annexed, violence in the eastern Donbass region and ongoing pressure from Russia not to apply the agreement, it’s going to be a long road ahead.
