Netanyahu: Israeli teen kidnappings "carried out by Hamas"

Three Israeli teens went missing on the night of June 12 in the West Bank.

They were there as seminary students in a Jewish settlement.

The three apparently went missing while hitchhiking.

One of the teens, Naftali Frankel, also holds U.S. citizenship.

His mother says she's hopeful.

"We wanted to express the utmost thanks for all the support and all the work everybody is doing in the security forces. The American embassy in Tel Aviv is very supportive and we just, we feel waves and waves of prayers and support and positive energy in this direction."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the teens were abducted, and blamed the disappearance on a Palestinian Islamist group that controls the Gaza Strip.
