Dazzler Beauty FAQ: What Are Phytoceramides?

Dazzler Beauty (http://amzn.to/1iEDCSo) explains in simple terms what phytoceramides are in this video.

Welcome to Dazzler Beauty, this is the first video in our Frequently Asked Questions series. Dr. Oz first introduced and explained Phytoceramides a few years ago, but what exactly are Ceramides and Phytoceramides?

Ceramides are naturally occurring lipids found in your skin that make up about 40% of your skin. They act as a binding agent between your skin cells, keeping the outer layer hydrated, resilient, and youthful looking. The stronger your cells, the more moisture they can hold so that you skin will look and feel smooth, soft and supple.

Young skin naturally produces ceramides from the food you eat to keep your skin fresh and healthy looking. As you age, your body produces less ceramides and loses more moisture, so the skin becomes dry. The dryness can cause the fine lines and wrinkles to form. Dry skin can also occur prematurely if your skin is subject to the unprotected sun exposure, stress and poor nutrition. Severe dry skin loses its elasticity, making the fine lines and wrinkles even more visible.

Phytoceramides are the plant-derived equivalent of ceramides. The type of plants includes wheat, rice or sweet potatoes. These plant based ceramides are chemically similar to the ceramides produced by human bodies so they are ideal to supplement the maturing skin that do not produce the level of ceramides needed to keep the skin moist. Since your body can not store the ceramides, daily intake of the phytoceramides supplement is recommended to keep the skin hydrated.

The daily phytoceramides supplement will give moisture back to your skin, making you look younger and your skin feel better.
