The case involving a man who allegedly killed his wife and parrot because they ‘talked too much’ will be headed to a grand jury. Robin Penton, from Huntsville, Alabama was arrested back in March and charged with the murder of his wife.

The victim, 34-year-old Colleen Penton was found dead inside her home. - According to a homicide investigator, Robin’s brother called 911 to report that the accused had called him and talked about the crime.

Police responded to the home right away. Officers found a blood trail in the kitchen that led into the bathroom and that’s where Colleen’s body was discovered.

She had been shot numerous times in the head. Her skull was also fractured. Robin was in the bathroom as well, unconscious from taking pills, and he had left behind a suicide note.

He was transported to the hospital. Once he came to, Robin confessed to the crime, saying Colleen and their parrot ‘talked too much’. He further elaborated that he found a text message his wife had sent to a friend complaining about him.

The man also said he killed three of their dogs because Colleen didn’t train them. At a recent hearing, the judge denied a request for lower bond.

The prosecution revealed Robin had previously threatened to kill his wife’s ex-husband, his step-children and his former boss and that they believed if he was freed, he would kill again.
