Tourist Mistakes Richard Gere for Homeless Man and Gives Him Leftover Pizza

A French tourist is currently getting quite a bit of attention because of her interaction with Richard Gere. 42-year-old Karine Gombeau gave a man she thought was homeless her leftover pizza, but that man turned out to be Richard Gere.
A French tourist is currently getting quite a bit of attention because of her interaction with Richard Gere. 42-year-old Karine Gombeau had been visiting New York City when she saw a man who she thought was homeless rifling through a garbage container near Grand Central Terminal.
In a kind-hearted good deed, she gave the male her leftover pizza. Gombeau didn’t think too much of it until a short time later, when she saw a photo of herself standing next to the actor in the New York Post.
That’s when she learned the ‘homeless’ man she talked to is really Richard Gere. Gere had been in the city filming his upcoming movie titled ‘Time Out of Mind’.
According to Gombeau, Gere asked her what was in the bag when she approached him. After she told him it was food and apologized for the meal being cold, he accepted the bag and its contents.
Reflecting on the encounter, Gombeau remarked “He said, ‘Thank you so much. God bless you'...It was magical ... It’s crazy, this story. It’s unimaginable that something like this could happen.”
