Shogun James Clavell - Quick book Review

The beginning of the book begins with Blackthorne and his crew being caught in a storm and washed ashore, only to be captured and tortured by their Japanese captors. Being the captain of his crew Blackthorne feels he is responsible for the safety of his men and acts accordingly in the story.

The story gives rich detail an insight into some of the customs of daimyo and samurais. Full of action, drama, and suspense.
