Chad Warden Responds to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Shutdown

Recently Nintendo annouced that it is going to discontinue the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service for Wii and DS games on May 20. Games such as Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Project M will no longer connect to the online service to battle against friends or random people on that date.

The games will not connect to the servers on the backwards compatible Wii U and 3DS either. This sounds like a ploy to abandon current consoles and go buy a Wii U and 3DS, which will continue online play, but might end up in the same situation later on.

Chad Warden is very busy right now with his new MEGATON Project, but during his break he took a few minutes of his time to sit down with us and share his thoughts on this very shocking situation.

BONUS: We also asked him what his opinion was about the Japanese National soccer team choosing Pikachu as their official mascot for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Stay tuned at the end of the video to hear what he says.
