Sandwich shops typically aren’t a target for criminals, but evidently there’s one man in particular who seemingly can’t stop burglarizing Subway establishments. All the locations are in the D.C. area.

Little is known about the serial Subway crook because police haven’t yet been able to catch him, despite his frequent and brazen crimes. Since November of 2013, the suspect has successfully broken into various Subway shops 28 times.

The latest crime occurred on a Monday in Springfield. One location in Burtonsville, Maryland was hit twice.

In one burglary, the man stole the surveillance camera and in another, he tried to dismantle the recording system. In all the crimes, the suspect broke in during the wee hours of the morning.

While the total amount of cash he got away with has not been released, it’s safe to say he made out pretty good. In the 28 burglaries, he was successful in getting away with the cash drawer each time.

Police are now asking the public for help in identifying the man. Fairfax County Police spokeswoman, Lucy Caldwell stated “We're pretty sure that someone has seen something, maybe something out of place, a little bit out of the ordinary.”
