Privacy and peace of mind are easily taken for granted. A family in Indianapolis has had both of those taken away after a hacker somehow acquired access to their cable box.

Alana Meeks is the woman of the house. She says vulgar and threatening messages are constantly popping up on TVs inside her home thanks to the mysterious hacker.

The messages started out on the tamer side, with the hacker noting he could see Meeks, however they soon got intense with the suspect pointing out he is a stalker.

Meeks has been dealing with the pesky hacker for about a week. Her concern is increasing because in one of the hacker’s notes, he mentioned wanting to both harm and have sex with her 9-year-old granddaughter.

It is becoming very clear to Meeks that whoever the hacker is, he can watch her and her grandchild’s every move. She tried covering her windows in case the troublemaker was watching her from the outside, but he can still see even with the blinds closed.

Both cops and news reporters have seen the hacker’s comments come through on the TV screens, so Meeks has proven the issue is indeed legitimate.

Police and AT&T have both launched separate investigations into the hacking occurrences. Meeks wants the individual responsible for the comments to be placed in jail.
