Just as with children, it’s not a wise idea to leave dogs unattended even for a short duration. A bizarre incident recently unfolded in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Two canine pals decided it would be a good idea to take their owner’s truck for a joyride. Just prior to their cruise, the dogs, named Roscoe and Luna had been left inside of the vehicle.

Their owner, Scott had been inside a house for only about 15 minutes. During that time, one of the hounds somehow knocked the truck into gear.

They barreled down a four lane highway for about three blocks. The truck zoomed past other cars and joggers. Thankfully the vehicle narrowly missed striking anyone.

When Scott finally ventured outside, he noticed his vehicle was nowhere to be found. His initial thought was that it got towed but the reality that his dogs swiped it soon sunk in.

By that time, the canines were well into their drive. Four witnesses who saw the runaway truck contacted police.

When first responders arrived, they found the truck stopped, as it crashed into a river bed. Roscoe and Luna were sitting together behind the steering wheel.

Traffic was backed up for three hours because of that joyride and subsequent crash. No one was injured, however Scott’s truck was left seriously damaged.
