Study finds hypothyroidism on the rise in Ahmedabad - Tv9 Gujarati

The sudden rise of hypothyroidism among Amdavadis, a condition wherein a thyroid gland produces insufficient amount of hormone that affects a person's entire body system, is serious cause for concern.According to the findings of the "Thyroid Epidemiological Study", a leading health care and pharmaceutical company, nearly one in 10 adults suffers from hypothyroidism, with women three times more likely to be affected by the disorder than men.
