If wrecking a car is just one of life’s unavoidable things, there’s no better place to do so than right in front of a collision center.

In a recent accident that can only appropriately be described as ironic, a driver in Colleyville, Texas crashed right into the building of a collision repair shop.

While the full circumstances of what happened aren’t fully clear, police claim the driver of the SUV, which was a GMC Yukon was arrested. Officers who responded to the scene ruled that both speed and alcohol played a role in the accident.

The unidentified driver reportedly has a previous conviction for driving while under the influence. Prior to smashing into the auto center, the Yukon struck a sedan.

An older man and his granddaughter were in that vehicle. Thankfully they survived and were transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were said to be non life threatening.

Nobody in the building was harmed either. While it was unknown if the business, Lone Star Collision Repair will be the ones fixing the SUV, the shop was open right after the wreck, despite a major, gaping hole in the wall of the building.
