U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met Jordan's King Abdullah in Amman on Sunday to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.

Kerry was greeted by the head of the royal office Fayez al Tarawneh and Jordanian foreign minister Nasser Judeh, before joining King Abdullah.

During his 10th visit to the region, Kerry tried to establish what U.S. officials call a "framework" for guidelines for any eventual peace accord

U.S.-brokered Israeli-Palestinian peace talks resumed last July after a three-year halt, with Kerry leading the push despite widespread skepticism about a successful outcome.

Kerry is expected to fly to Saudi Arabia later on Sunday.
