A Laundromat – it’s not exactly a place you would think thieves and violent robbers would strike. Nevertheless that exactly what happened in Philadelphia when two masked men entered the Laundry Depot and terrified both a customer and worker.

The incident occurred at a little before 5 in the morning on a recent Friday. Surveillance footage captured the entire robbery.

The first masked man could be seen entering the business, armed with a handgun. The second male trailed after him, with an empty bag, fully ready to be loaded up with cash.

The men forced an employee and a customer to the ground. The armed suspect used a pair of handcuffs to secure the worker. After the robbers were sure there was no threat in the business, they spent the next 20 minutes trying to open an ATM inside the Laundromat.

When they failed to do so, the males grabbed a laptop from the office section and ran outside. They were able to flee the scene on foot.

Both suspects are thought to be in their 20s. One stands 6 feet tall while the other is about 5 foot 6 inches. The surveillance clip was released by police.
