The man had wanted to go home after the five hour long spree but the woman wished to visit one more store. The disturbing incident occurred at a busy mall in Xuzhou.
According to witnesses, the couple was heard bickering. The man had complained about having far more bags than they could comfortably carry and said it was time to retreat back to their home. His partner then stated she wanted to visit one more shop because they were having a shoe sale.
Once the man said she had enough shoes, the female started shouting, loudly accusing him of being cheap and ruining the holiday. That was when the 38-year-old man had enough.
He immediately dropped all the bags he had been holding and ran over to the nearest balcony. He climbed over and jumped, finally landing on the floor 7 stories below.
Emergency crews quickly arrived on scene, but it was too late, the male was already dead.
