tele-monitoring: an experiment that is changing the lives of kidney patients

  • il y a 11 ans
In France, nearly two and a half million people with kidney failure exhibit a risk of cardiovascular complications and progression towards dialysis. Because kidney failure is a silent disease, complications frequently occur between nephrologist visits, and therefore from one to four times a year depending on the status of the disease.

The tele follow-up solution put in place by Grenoble General Hospital, Calydial and Agduc associations involves a tablet installed in the patient’s home and connected to the traditional telephone network. This system means that patients can be in permanent contact with their healthcare coordinators: transmitting daily questionnaires about their health status and sending any messages that may be necessary.
