Lukáš Sommer (1984) studied at the Conservatory South Bohemia in the composition class of prof. Jiří Churáčka. He finished the study of music at the Academy of performing arts in the composition class of prof. Ivan Kurze. Between the years 2007-2009, he was the editor of the Internet portal A tempo Revue. With his wife Maria he has daughter Julliette and son Mathyas.

His music was premiered in Tokyo (Concerto for harp and Orchestra), Amsterdam (Symphony for organ and Orchestra), Paris, Vienna or Toronto. He cooperates with many prominent orchestras (Stadtisches Orchester Bremerhaven, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hradec Kralove Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Philharmonia Pardubice, Radio Symphonie Orchester Pilsen, Bohuslav Martinů Symphony Orchestra) conductors (Stephan Tettzlaf, Koji Kawamoto, Marko Ivanović, Jiří Malát, Sebastian Weiser) and musicians (Roman Novotný, Jan Ostrý, Petra Poláčková, Jan Thuri, Sedláčkovo Quartet, Opera Diversa ad.)

He is a sought-after arranger of film and popular music (orchestration of the musical Joan of Arc, orchestration of Oscar-winning film Kolya ad.), collaboration with music producers Ondrej Soukup, Sundar Challapally, Oh Joon Sung ad. Permanently collaborates with prestigious agency TRIART.
To order the Prague Spring Festival he wrote flute concerto Letter to father, became youngest author in the course of the history of the Prague Spring.
