Sonia Gandhi in Kerala enlists UPA govt’s flagship policies

Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi launched the ambitious ‘Zero landless project’ of the Congress-led UDF government in Kerala on Monday which aims at providing land to all the landless people by 2015.
“To ensure this our UPA Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, has introduced a wide range of welfare schemes and passed important laws such as the Food Security Bill – which was recently passed, the Land Acquisition rehabilitation and resettlement Bill, the Right to Education Bill from which the children from 6 years to 14 years can access to free education, the right to Information, Tribals rights Act, the Right to works –or- the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, the Indira Awas Yojana, the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, the Mid-Day meal scheme, to name just a few”, said Sonia Gandhi.
