I'm Molly Shay over at Parallax Tactical and today we are installing a lower parts kit on a Franklin armory Billit Lower receiver. The tools that we used to put together the lower parts kit are the castle nut wrench, a basic armors hammer, roll pin holder, roll pin punch, an Allen wrench and tape. We're gonna assemble the Billet lower receiver. Starting with the trigger, and the trigger spring. Then we're gonna put in the disconnector spring.

And be sure the larger circle goes down first. Then we're gonna drop this piece to put together. Next, there is only one way this disconnector goes on so be sure this is over the disconnector spring. Next, were gonna put in the trigger pin and to do so, you need to line up the holes. There are two stages, first you fill it with the first hole and then you're gonna wiggle it from the inside with the spring and you'll fill a snap to the second hole.

Next we're gonna assemble the hammer and the hammer spring. Okay this is tricky; the hammer spring needs to sit on top of the trigger pin. We're gonna use the trigger pin to set that in place you have to line up the holes once again. Got it. Next wer'e gonna assemble to pivot pin. Were gonna drop the detent spring down in here. Usually the detent springs sets a little higher in here and you cut a few coils off.

The easiest way to assemble the pivot pin is to line this up. I'm right handed so I'm gonna use my right hand and I'm gonna use to pivot pin to push down the divet and slide it in. So for a little trick, I'm gonna use some tape so that I don't scratch the receiver and while I do that you just - where you're going to place it, you don't want to cover this hole. Now were gonna assemble the bolt catch with the bolt catch spring, plunger and bolt catch roll pin. And when putting this in, were gonna use this tool. First we drop the bolt catch spring down into the hole. Followed by the bolt catch plunger. Take the bolt catch. There is only one way it can fit in. Now with this tool, bolt catch pin. It's easier when I hold my hand on this side, even though you cannot see, I can still see and make sure that it is lined up.
