TripleEightRobotics: My RocketBot Controller demo 031713
This project is mainly a custom build of a biped robot made out of aluminum and off-the-shelf servos. The first phase of the project is to build the hips, legs and feet of the robot, then develop a walking gait and use sensor feedback via an accelerometer to help provide stability. The main systems of the robot are the computer subsystem (BeagleBone Linux computer) running Ubuntu 12.10 with a proto board for peripherals, a servo controller and a bluetooth module. The robot will be controlled thru my smart phone via bluetooth. I'm writing the robot code in C using the Eclipse IDE and cross-compiling the code for the ARM processor.
In this video, I'm demonstrating the RocketBot controller app and how it performs with this hardware setup.
I'm only a couple of months into the build and code development working on it in my spare time.
