Do I Have To Live In Arizona To Get A Divorce There

No, only one party. In other words, either the husband or wife has to be a resident of Arizona for 90 days or more in order to divorce in Arizona. So, it doesn't matter who initiates the divorce, in terms of, who lives in Arizona. Even if husband, say, was living in California, wife in Arizona. The husband could actually be the petitioner in Arizona or the wife could be the petitioner or the person who starts the divorce, who initiates the divorce here in Arizona.

It doesn't have to be where you're both in the state, just one of you for 90 days or more. In fact, we have a program and we dealt with lots of couples where one spouse is out of state and what we do is we mediate that through Skype or go to meeting or even teleconference. It's a pretty common occurrence and the short answer is, "No, just one of you has to be in Arizona."
