Dr Colin Chartres, Director General of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI, talks about revitalizing Asia's irrigation. He examine some of the major challenges and forces that are driving change in irrigation and the key areas of reform that researchers at IWMI think will help to sustain Asia's food production needs. He offers some broad strategies that can be used to revitalize irrigation in Asia.
