Stealing something doesn't mean you forget your manners but that could mean trouble.

In one recent incident, a thief got busted after stealing a woman’s car and later stopping for the same female at a crosswalk, driving her vehicle.

Alex Walden and her boyfriend, Ryan Tippetts called police after discovering her car had been stolen. 15 minutes after noticing the vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta, was gone, the car reappeared while the couple was trying to cross the street.

Walden confronted the driver, who was initially unaware that she was the Jetta's owner.

She told the crook to get out of her car. The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Davien Payne tried to drive off, but Tippetts jumped through the passenger window, climbing over a female sitting in the seat, to stop the thief from getting away.

He managed to grab the steering wheel, but Payne punched him so many times he ended up needing titanium plates to fix a broken larynx. Realizing Tippetts wasn’t giving up, Payne got out of the car and fled on foot.

Police soon found Payne, a former University of Colorado football player, in a nearby alleyway. He allegedly pushed and punched an officer prior to getting arrested.

Payne is now facing a multiple charges.
