1. Not maximizing their profits. Take the time to do a few completed item searches on your item, so as to avoid over pricing and also under pricing your item.

2. Not creating an optimal title. The best thing you can do for your item, is make sure you use as many good keywords as possible and to make sure you spell them correctly.

3. Not finding a good source for product or getting despirate and paying too high of prices for product. ALways take into consideration the price the item can sell for. When you are out, say at Goodwill or a garage sale, make sure to have your smartphone with you so you can look up what the item can sell for on ebay.

4. Forgetting to relist the items you just sold or did not sell. Make sure to use some of Ebay's automation features for items you have more than one of. Keep your auctions always continually going up, because, if you forget to list it, there is not going to be any sales.

5. Continually relisting an item that does not sell. This is a good way to loose money to Ebay. If anything, you should figure out why the item is not selling and either improve the listing, or just throw the item in your store, where it can sell without you having to pay for listing fees.

6. Not properly packing an item, getting insurance and forgetting to get tracking. This is a really good way to loose money. If the item breaks because of poor packaging and you do not have insurance, you are basically out the item, as paypal will have you refund the customer. Also, forgetting to put part of what was included in the box, could really hurt you if there was a dispute.

7. Learn from your mistakes. This is a big one. I think many don't want to go that extra mile. But really, that extra mile, after you already went 10 miles is well worth it, considering the fact that you could easily double or triple your profits, just simply thinking through how to improve what you have going already.

8. Not answering your email. This can be huge as well. Wether it is answering a pressing question, before they bid on your item, or a problem with an order.

9. Don't play the low price game. There are two types of customers. One that looks for the low price.. And the other is the quality customer. ALWAYS FOCUS on the quality customer. Always price near what the customer is most willing to spend.

10. Follow Ebays Rules. Because Ebay has been becoming a more strict place to sell, make sure you are always in line with their rules.
