Sleepwalking Man Shoots Himself in Knee

A man in Concord, New Hampshire reportedly shot himself in the knee while sleepwalking.

You never know what a person can unknowingly do while sleepwalking.

In a recent report, a man in Concord, New Hampshire reportedly shot himself in the knee while sleepwalking.

He woke up to find a bleeding hole in his leg. According to investigators, the male’s wife called emergency operators at approximately 12:30 a.m. She claimed her husband had shot himself in the knee.

She also added that he had been sleepwalking at the time of the incident and only woke up after the gun went off. The identity of the man remains unknown.

He was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The circumstances of the accidental shooting remain unknown and no future legal charges are anticipated.

A police lieutenant stated “We'd like to know what happened and have more details. But the only witness was the person who was shot, and it sounds like he doesn't know exactly what happened.”

The incident is currently under investigation, but it is not believed any sinister intent was present. The Concord police chief has since released a statement, reminding residents of safe weapon storage along with handling practices.
