Mercedes-Benz has designed a golf cart which will be electrically operated, running solely on a battery that charges by solar panels.

Mercedes-Benz cars have long been the vehicles of choice for those who have some extra cash to throw around.

The automaker has come up with a golf cart concept which could be a dream come true for many golf players and fans around the world.

Called the Vision Golf Cart, it will be electrically operated, running on a battery that charges by solar panels, located on the roof of the vehicle, even though manual charging is also available.

The golf cart is far beyond standard. A Mercedes logo is planted on the grill. Equipped with seat cooling and heating controls, speakers, a built in refrigerator and LED headlights, the vehicle is rather upscale.

It also has some perks geared towards technology with a USB interface and a rotatable docking station for iPads and iPhones. The golf cart is designed for driving in varying seasons.

A neck-level heating system works as a scarf during the cold winter months, while a retractable lightning rod was added to the vehicle for those common summer thunderstorms that strike while on the green.
