Striding through Japan, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe promises his administration will bring 'real growth' in this campaign advert.

Japan is getting ready for elections to its upper house this weekend in which Abe's ruling coalition is expected to win.

Victory would be something of a personal redemption for Abe, who led his party to a huge defeat in the 2006 upper house poll.

That created a "twisted parliament" in which the opposition could block rulings, something that has frustrated his legislative program ever since.

Abe has an ambitious agenda of both constitutional and economic reform.
