Chalium Poppy, musical director and basso continuo, Therese Ahlers, cello, Anneli Ahlers and Urszula Kint, violins, Friederike André, soprano, in the first part of the recently rediscovered Gloria, that Handel composed during his time in Italy, about 1707. Text: Gloria in excelsis deo. Very bright and virtuoso movement, that establishes the instruments as equal partners joining in a dialogue with the voice.
