Man Uses Metal Detector to Find and Return Missing Gold Rings

66-year-old Richard Browne in Massachusetts has located over 100 gold rings during a 30 year time span. Instead of cashing in on the jewelry pieces, he returns them to the owners.
Not everyone who scours the ground with a metal detector is looking to make a fortune.
66-year-old Richard Browne in Massachusetts has located over 100 gold rings during a 30 year time span.
Instead of cashing in on the jewelry pieces, he returns them to the owners. Browne purchased his first metal detector in 1982.
On his initial hunt, he came across a gold ring.
He brought it home and cleaned it up. Browne was going to give the piece to his wife, but the couple soon learned the ring belonged to their neighbor, who had lost it years earlier. They retuned it right away.
In return for the good deed, Browne received a plate of cookies. That old-fashioned appreciative measure felt good and Browne soon became obsessed with locating missing belongings.
He is now a metal detector specialist at ‘The Ring Finders’.
Browne notes “I work on a Gift Basis. This means that I will accept a Gift for an item returned that you feel is fair and can afford.”
