Pakistan residents tackle energy crisis

After years of constant electricity shortages, Pakistanis decided to take the challenge of finding a solution in their own hands. With the help of Imran Ashraf, a European Union advisor, they started setting up mini-hydro-electric units. There is no government involvement in the scheme and the costs are low. Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from Shangla district in Pakistan's north.
