Kelly Rowland has joined the cast of of "The X Factor." The singer has signed on to be a judge on the show's next season - she had previously judged "The X Factor's" U.K. edition in 2011. Also new to the judging panel will be Mexican singer and actress Paulina Rubio. Rubio and Rowland will join previous judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato.

Michael Douglas was in Cannes to promote his latest film, "Behind the Candelabra." The veteran actor plays Liberace in the film, which is screening in competition at Cannes. He was joined by co-star Matt Damon, who took time to meet fans and sign some autographs outside the festival's venues.

Carol Burnett will be the recipient of the 16th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The John F.
