Sumair Abro is a lead trainer/motivational speaker at Navitus. He obtained his BS/Mechanical Engineering in 1996 from University of Oklahoma-USA, following it up with an Executive MBA in Marketing.
Sumair joined Navitus in May 2006, & since then he has worked with a variety of clients; such as Glaxo Smithkline, JS Bank, Reckitt Benckiser, Pakistan Tobacco Company, United Bank Limited, 3M, Telenor, Unilever, Shell, MCB Bank, Nestle, PTCL, Merck KGaA, China Mobile, Searle, Philips & others.
His primary areas of interest include Leadership, Personal Branding, Negotiation Skills, Teambuilding & Creative Thinking.
In June 2009, Sumair was also one of the ‘Brand Ambassadors’ for JS Bank’s advertising campaign; which won ‘The Khaleej Times’ award for best communication campaign in conventional banking. This drive was based on creating JS Bank’s association with successful people from various fields such as aviation, architecture, fashion etc.
Furthermore, he has been interviewed by several TV shows such as Dawn TV’s ‘The First Blast – TFB’ on various topics.
Prior to joining Navitus, Sumair has acquired over a decade’s experience of working in cultures like USA, Pakistan & United Kingdom. He has held various key positions in managing pharmaceutical production lines, leading corporate sales teams, devising recruitment based assessment programs, for companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Kaplan Inc. & J & P Coats.
An adventurer by nature, Sumair consistently pushes himself & those around him to aim for the stars. From road trips across North America & Europe to White Water Rafting excursions in Nepal, he is always on the lookout to break through barriers of fear & succeed at something new in his life.
Sumair's family belongs to Sind & Multan. He is married & resides in Karachi.
