Hi

I am Christian and a fan of instrumental music of the sixties (The Shadows, The Spotnicks, The Ventures...)

To reproduce these vintage sounds, I am not using vintage equipment. Too expensive and difficult to find, and not reliable. But above all, they do not really allow to reach the objective.

Instead, I am using a software based solution, based on VST plugins. These plugins emulate vintage echo units, reverb, tube/tape saturation, equalizers, etc.. They are arranged in patches that run within a special software named VSTHost, on a portable PC. Most of VST plugins are free, so the solution is cheap, compact and universal. Universal because it allows to reproduce practically any sound: Shadows, Spotnicks, but also any other modern pop/rock/blues sounds.
I am using a dedicated patch for each tune, to be as close as possible from original sound. Well... it's not always the case, some sounds remaining enigmas...
People interested can download my VST solution from my personal forum, the link is provided beside (Où me retrouver). Its free. You simply need to register on the forum to access the files.

Concerning my videos here on Dailymotion, I did made new, better versions with my friends of the Virtual Shadows Tribute, a virtual band that we started 2 years ago. These new videos are on Youtube. The link to my Youtube channel is also provided beside.

Cheers - Christian
