Shagufta Shafiq is a renowned poetess and writer. Her poetry work has been publishing in different magazines since the year 2000 and it has been in continuation till date.
Shagufta Shafiq has three poetry books on her credit. Her first book "MERA DIL KEHTA HAI" was published in 2010. On account of her brilliant work in this book, she was being awarded with an 'Award of Excellence' by the honorable President of 'Urdu Society of Canada' Mr. Tasleem Elaahi Zulfi, 'Jamia Karachi Adabi Award' by 'UOK Graduates Forum, Canada' and an 'Appreciation Award' by 'The Ambition, Canada'.
Her second book "YAAD AATI HAI" was published in May 2012. The book was also being launched internationally in places like Canada and Germany. Her work was again being recognized by the literary societies internationally and she was being awarded with 'Sitara-e-Adab Award' by the 'Urdu Society of Canada' and 'Nishan-e-Sipas Award' by 'UOK Graduates Forum, Canada'.
Her third book "JAAGTI AANKHON K KHUWAAB" has recently been published in March 2013 and is under the process of distribution.
Shagufta Shafiq also writes short stories which have been published in various magazines. She has been interviewed by various magazines, newspapers and TV shows nationally and internationally.
