Mylne Yacht Design encompasses a dedicated team of Naval Architects, Designers, and Engineers. We create bespoke authentic classic sailing and motor yacht designs for discerning private clients.
Started in Glasgow in 1896 by Alfred Mylne, the design business has been in continual operation ever since. The studio is famed for it's elegant and fast prewar yachts which are today considered the pinacle of classic vintage design. With such an illustrious heritage it is easy to forget that the Mylne office has always been at the forefront of contemporary design, including an OSTAR competing trimaran design in the 1960's, and today our Carbon Jet 685 superyacht tender design.
Today Mylne is uniquely positioned to design state of the art luxury yachts with timeless exterior and interior arrangements. The new luxury tender Bolt 18 fast electric tender is a perfect example combining modern technology and classic design. Powered by a 400V lithium battery bank, Bolt is able to travel to speeds of up to 30 knots making this fastest electric yacht tender in the UK. Owners will be able to travel fast and in style thanks to its vintage design. A larger model is also available as a luxury water limousine.
