When I set out on this adventure I had no idea where it would lead me. This all started with a 10 y.o. Blue & Gold Macaw named "Kacey". She has been the inspiration in everything I do. It took 9 months to rehabilitate her and to get her to trust me...then my flock just kinda grew. I wanted the world to know about the mistreatment and inhumane ways birds have been kept over the years and with the help of some excellent trainers and an amazing Avian community on Facebook, that awareness has grown and surpassed my expectations. The video came to light when the community got so strong and so involved that sharing across the world was not going fast enough for me. So, asking permission to use photos and video from friends on the internet became the basis for the "Avian Encounters" collection. I hope you all enjoy the videos as much as I enjoyed making them. They are originals and are copyrighted and rights reserved. These people are the true artists of the visual...I just set it to music so whether the audience has birds or not, they can feel, see, and understand the passion of a community of people that goes way beyond Facebook.
