A top vocalist thanks to her Gospel music experiences in most of her hometown choirs, SHERYL makes it a point of honour of singing in African languages (MBOCHI, LINGALA…), before using English or French. She drops mighty,warm and sensitive vocals kicking strong melodies inspired by African traditions.

NU -AFRO SOUL songstress SHERYL drops an innovative African Urban music recipe blending HIP HOP flavour arrangements, R&B vibes with African grooves rooted in her native Congo Brazzaville cultural heritage.

The image of a modern, progressive, inventive and daring Africa, SHERYL's music goes beyond cultural limits and stands out as a brand new page being written in her home-country Rumba and Soukous-controlled musical landscape.

Funk and Soul music legacy is taken back home on the motherland just like Latin music (Cha cha cha, Rumba"mispelled term" for "NKUMBA" as it was called in the Congo), was taken back home way back in the 30's.

SHERYL's collaboration with DEE SOUL IN TOWN label’s Bass guitar genius and Beat producer Francky “Moulet”MWELE has resulted in the LEMOYASSA debut album project. A Soulful and Contemporary African Urban music from the motherland with vibes so dope it cannot but get all nationalities jamming.
