Dr. Mitchell Kurk MD was born in Lawrence, NY where he completed his primary and secondary education. Mitchell Kurk graduated from the Medical Faculty of the University "Dr. Nicholas Stein" – New York in 1996.
During the study Dr. Mitchell Kurk MD repeatedly engaged in activities at the Medical Student Association. In reference to the engagement he was president of the local student exchange program in New Jersey in 1994 and had active participation in the organization of the annual General Assembly of IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations), which was held in Teaneck in August 1997.
In August 1998 Dr. Kurk started his intern teaching at the hospital of gastro-endocrine surgery in Wroclaw, Poland.
Mitchell Kurk MD is also an member and activist of the National Transplant Foundation.

In June-July 2003 Dr. Mitchell Kurk MD successfully passed the medical education program for cardiac catheterization and angiography of cardiology Department in Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, under the supervision of prof. Dr. Vedat Ajtekin and prof. Dr. Nurhan Jazidzhioglu.
