Aygun Kazimova is an Azerbaijani singer, songwriter, pop musician and actress. She is an icon for many young female singers in Azerbaijan thanks to her proven ability.
Her career began in 80’s when she participated in a music competition “Baki Payizi-88” (“The Autumn of Baku-88”) in 1988 and took the I place. Over the years her popularity grew and continued unabated and her catalogue of albums grew too: single after single hit the top of the charts.
She is one of the most successful artists in the history of Azeri popular music. No other female singer in the pop arena has been as prominent or as successful such a long period in Azerbaijan. For years she has single-handedly ruled the pop stratosphere. She is well-known 4 her innovative music videos and carefully prepared mounted stage performances.
