Riphah International University is a private sector university. Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan, a renowned cardiologist & educationist, is the Chancellor. Renowned educationist and scholar Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad is the Vice Chancellor. The university got its charter by the federal government of Pakistan in 2002 and since then the diversity and high quality of its programs is recognized by national and international accrediting bodies like HEC, PMDC, PEC, PPC, NBEAC, NCEAC, FAMER, WHO, CAA (UAE), TEC (Mauritius). The university attained ISO-9001:2008 from Lloyds' Registrar, UK.
