BAFTA hands out its TV awards

British actress Olivia Colman scooped up two acting honors at the British Academy Television Awards but it was the Olympics that scored big.

The Channel 4 production team was recognised for its coverage of the Paralympic Games, while situation comedy Twenty Twelve, which centred around the preparations for the Games, also picked up its own award.

Daleks from the successful British science fiction show Dr Who took to the red carpet as the awards ceremony celebrated the programs 50 year run.

Actress Sienna Miller said she was determined to enjoy an evening where she was nominated for best leading actress despite the rain.
