Rep Simon On Same Sex Marriage Vote

Representative Steve Simon (DFL) was thrust into the debate over same-sex marriage two years ago when he asked a committee controlled by Republicans if God didn't like gays, why does he keep making so many of them. At the time Republicans were passing a constitutional amendment that would have prevented same-sex marriage. That constitutional amendment was ultimately defeated by the voters.

Today Simon gave an emotional speech in favor of same-sex marriage. It passed in the Minnesota House 75-59 and will be voted on in the Senate on Monday.Distributed by OneLoad.com
