BLACK POPE & THE BAD HABITS - YOU'LL NEVER KILL THE BLUES
PRESENTED BY JOANNE COLLINS
PRODUCED BY JOHN HOUGH & JOANNE COLLINS
Black Pope & the Bad Habits formed at the beginning of 2013 in the heat of the Amazonian rainforest, before immediately moving to Cork City for its superior music scene. Usually confined to guitars, bass and drums, the quartet generates a spectrum of theatrical, psychedelic and romantic noise, never letting the surf reverb get too far away.
Built upon rhythms that allow the most primitive of impulses to assert themselves, Black Pope have a sensuous sound that bears the teeth of by-gone eras of rock'n'roll, including surf, sixties punk, and 60's film soundtracks.
Black Pope & the Bad Habits embrace the past, make love to present, and bow to the future. The band are currently getting their name out there, with dates booked in such Cork City venues as the Pavilion and the Crane Lane, with some recorded material hopefully to come at the next full moon... Stay tuned...
