Greece parliament approves job cuts

The Greek parliament has approved a bill which will see 15,000 civil servants losing their jobs.

After heated debate, 168 deputies voted for the bill, with 123 voting against and one abstaining.
The new law will free up $11.5bn in international rescue loans.
But it will also overturn what had been a guarantee of a job for life for civil service workers.
Al Jazeera's John Psaropoulos reports from Athens.
