He graduated from both Faculty of Letters and Faculty of Law of the Kyoto Imperial University. He Despite the conductor of the old generation, was a guest conductor in the top flight orchestra of more than 50, such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. His home in Osaka, he continued to leading until 2001, established in 1947 the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.
