In August 2012, the Mars rover Curiosity landed successfully on the surface of Mars. For this challenge, NASA employed Siemens PLM software solutions. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory digitally designed, tested, assembled, and simulated the Mars rover before one physical prototype was created.
