In Bangladesh a protester has been shot dead and 15 others injured during clashes with police in the southwestern district of Khulna. The man was a member of Jamaat-e-Islami the country's largest party. The party's student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, has called for a nationwide stike and is demanding the release of its President Delwar Hossain. Al Jazeera's correspondent, who we are not naming for security reasons, reports on the unrest from Dhaka.
