Aung San Suu Kyi re-elected as party leader

Aung San Suu Kyi has as was expected been re-elected as the leader of her party the National League for Democracy, the NLD.
The 67-year-old daughter of the Mynamar's independence hero was anonymously voted to stay as the party's top chairperson with 20 members of the central executive committee at the NLD's first national congress which was attended by more than 800 members.
