How to use Coconut Coir

Today the vegitate crew decided to take advantage of the warm weather and get the growums up and running. The coconut coir bricks are about 12 x 12 x 3 solid wafers of compressed and shredded coconut husk, after adding about 3-4 gallons of water they swell up to about 2 cf of growing medium. The coconut coir is great for container gardening cause they adsorb water so well. It will pull water up the water using wicking process in containers. The product is less messy than soil of potting mix. We will be using it more in the future.

Thanks for watching.
