Bobby Brown is headed to jail next month to serve a 55-day sentence imposed for his second drunken driving conviction in a year. A judge ordered Brown to attend at least three Alcoholics Anonymous sessions each week until he reports to the Los Angeles County jail on March 20. Brown pleaded no contest last summer to another charge of driving under the influence and his driver's license was suspended.

Scott Weiland has been fired by the Stone Temple Pilots. The group's lead singer just recently denied rumors he was leaving the band, but the group released a statement on Wednesday (February 27) announcing the termination - without any explanation or reason why. Weiland is set to launch a solo tour next month.

Finally, American concert pianist Harvey "Van" Cliburn has died. He achieved worldwide recognition when he won the first International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow - at age 23. The pianist had been diagnosed with bone cancer. He was 78.
